My Selfie Phobia

Woop! End of the week is here with a weekend full of fun & football ahead. (GO ERIC DECKER!! Broncos!) I think I deserve it after the traumatizing Wednesday that I had. If anyone follows me on Twitter, you probably saw the really beautiful photo of me drinking wine with foils in my hair while under a blow dryer. This was at 7 PM, when I was still happy. At 8:15, all hell broke loose because the 3 inches I thought were getting cut off my hair turned into something more like 20 7. I was really brave acting when it happened.. mostly because I didn't want to cause a scene at the hair salon but when I came walking into our apartment a hysterical sobbing mess, I was poor PDiddy's problem then.
You know it's bad when you can't even eat your chicken nuggets Happy Meal. (Has anyone noticed that the toys are getting less and less cool? Paul Frank stickers? Come on.)

When I got to work yesterday I felt a little better because no one mentioned anything.. I was like okay, I was just being overly dramatic like usual. Then a girl at lunch told me that she loved my new bob. Thursday ruined. Cue margarita.

All of my friends my mom of course wanted to see pics so I took some awkward selfies for her yesterday once I had calmed a little.

I HATE selfies. I don't mind if chicks want to post duck face selfies of themselves all over social media.. go for it. As long as you aren't posting them 11,000 times a day from your bathroom, we can still be FB friends. But when I do it, something strange happens and I can't help but make an ugly face or do something weird. I just get all nervous and discombobulated and don't know what to do. I usually try and grab Remi because if your dog is in the picture, it's not truly a selfie. I mean, she could be taking the photo.. you don't know her life. If Remi isn't around, I'll just grab the glass of wine that's usually sitting in front of me and drink that.

But today I thought I'd attempt a real one. Mostly because Remi isn't here and I don't have a glass of wine readily available. Sigh.

I'm actually in a pretty legit mood today just incase you couldn't tell from all the bitchiness you just read. It's Friday.. not even having a bob can get me down. Any suggestions on the best brand of extensions are welcomed though.

Happy weekend lovers!

Monday Rambles

I have been sucking at blog life the last few days but only because I've been non-suckish at real life. This rarely happens. The fact that the box of Franzia in my fridge has been super lonely the past 2 weeks is also a rarity. Kind of super proud of myself though. Also super proud of my little coffee cup this morning:

It looks like a beer but it's just a coffee. Tricky Tricky.

Because even when I'm not drinking, I like to pretend to.. which makes me happy. It's the little things in life people.

This weekend was terrible weather wise. We got something insane like 11,000 24 inches of snow all while being negative 700 10 degrees out. I left the house yesterday for the first time all weekend fully intending to go pick up food for dinner, cleaned my car off for 20 minutes then walked my happy ass back inside to order a pizza. Winter is just not my thang. Pizza delivery is though.

And since I did nothing but watch Netflix all weekend, I have little to absolutely nothing to tell you about except that my dog is officially my height.. which is pretty easy to do.. except she's a dog.. so I'm impressed.

Is it April yet?!

Thinking About..

Sick of my ombre. This may be happening tomorrow.

Oh, Tuesday.

Being a little homesick these days. Wishing New York wasn't 24,832,651 miles away. Or more accurately, 657.67 miles. Same thing.

Like My Hat?

Day 3 of the yeast free diet and I've lost 3 lbs! I mean it's nothing to write home about.. or blog about.. but it's something! Probably just from not drinking a bottle of wine every night.

Back in December, I wrote this post about how I got a new job and was no longer bartending but didn't tell you what I was actually doing. This was mostly because I didn't really know what I was doing.. and still don't.

It's definitely a job that I never saw myself doing. Like ever. In the history of ever.

I took a job at a construction company.

I know.. huh?

I'm not actually doing any construction.. the heaviest thing I can lift is a bottle of Absolut. I just get to go out to job sites and boss people around while wearing a really sweet hard hat and safety goggles.

And this is my little very undecorated office:

Sadly, the office didn't come with the old truck outside the window.

I took this picture the day that I started so add a lap top and a million papers to make it really messy and you get the picture.

So that's where I'm sitting all day while bossing construction workers around and blogging. Any ideas on how to turn my office into a Pinterest masterpiece would be extremely helpful and welcomed.

Happy Humping Day folks!

A Little Rant & A Recipe

Day 2 of the yeast free diet and I’m only slightly depressed. Go me. I even made it through a whole episode of the Bachelor last night without any wine.. mostly because crazy pants Victoria had enough for me. I’m not going to be all Judgy McJudgerson here because I’ve shed my fair share of tears while heavily intoxicated, but I’ve never done it on national TV.. which is why I’m currently having a better day than Victoria, even if I can’t have a Diet Coke. I’ve never met Juan Pablo though.. so maybe she’s having a better day? That bitch is probably drinking a Diet Coke at this very moment.

End Bachelor rant.
End Diet Coke rant.. (maybe)

So I’m going to attempt to be domesticated tonight and make an actual meal.. a yeast free meal to be exact. Thought I’d share the recipe since it looks and sounds so yummy and its good for you. I do have to warn you that this is waaay more involved than my usual Kraft mac&cheese.

Spaghetti Squash Casserole

Ingredients:

•1 large spaghetti squash

•1 pound ground turkey

•3 roma tomatoes, diced

•1/2 yellow onion, chopped

•1 C pizza sauce (1 C tomato sauce + 1/2 t dried basil + 1/2 t dried oregano + 1/4 t garlic powder. Mix well.)

•1 t dried basil

•3 garlic cloves, minced

•3 eggs, whisked

•salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Cut spaghetti squash in half lengthwise, face cut sides down on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.

3. While squash is cooking, brown your ground turkey and set to the side.

4. Once squash is done cooking, using a fork, scrape out the insides of the squash making your "noodles" and place in an 8x8 greased baking dish.

5. Reduce oven to 350 degrees.

6. In baking dish, add turkey, pizza sauce, tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil, salt and pepper.

7. Add whisked eggs and mix everything together.

8. Bake in the oven for 1 hour, until you begin to see a "crust" forming on the top.

9. Serve hot and enjoy!

*If you are not following a yeast-free eating program, feel free to add a little Parmesan cheese to the top.. ya lucky little biotch.

Happy Tuesday lovers & wish me luck on my attempted domesticatedness! .. it's a word.

Nicole Kidman Is One Lucky Lady.

I'm a complete waste of life today because of Keith Urban. Little Big Town may have something to do with it too. Pontoon is still my jam.

I suck at taking pictures when I have a beer in my hand.

Nothing I say today is going to amount to anything so I'm going to just leave you with Keith and Miranda.

PS. He did this song last night with Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town and it was ah-mazing.
